6T LATIN EXAM, SUMMER TERM 2010

THE EXAM

The exam will be based on a Common Entrance Paper and will consist of the following:

• A Latin passage, approximately 8 lines long with English comprehension questions. This passage should not be translated

• A passage of Latin approximately 10 lines long to be translated in to English

• A Latin passage, 5 lines long with English grammar questions. This passage should not be translated. Example questions:

a. write down a verb in the perfect tense

b. Write down a feminine noun

You will get some additional vocabulary help in the exam because you have not yet learnt all of the Level 1 vocabulary

WHAT TO REVISE:

·As much vocab as possible from your Level 1 Common Entrance wordlist

The present, perfect and imperfect tenses of AMO and SUM

The nouns PUELLA, DOMINUS and BELLUM

Parts of speech (e.g. nouns, adjectives, verbs etc)

REMEMBER:
